With established locations in New York, Chicago, London, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Seville, Almería, and Vallromanes, we are now preparing for our entry into the Canadian market with the opening of AIRE Toronto in 2025.

The Role:

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will oversee the overall human resources function for our Toronto location, ensuring an outstanding employee experience and business profitability. Reporting to the Site Director, you will lead talent initiatives, employee relations, compliance, and organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise managers and employees on employment relations, ensuring compliance with Ontario’s Employment Standards Act (ESA) and other local labor laws.
  • Implement global HR policies and procedures while adapting them to Canadian labor regulations.
  • Oversee onboarding and talent development programs to ensure successful employee integration.
  • Advise and support the director, managers, and employees on performance-related matters, ensuring structured feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and facilitate semi-annual development evaluations, talent management, and high-potential employee development in collaboration with leadership and HQ.
  • Conduct compensation and benefits reviews, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Act as a mediator in workplace disputes and develop strategies to enhance work environment.
  • Supervise payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) regulations.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).

Who You Are:

  • 3-4 years of progressive experience in HR, preferably in hospitality, retail, or hourly workforce environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Canadian employment law, particularly Ontario’s ESA.
  • Experience with payroll and HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CHRP/CHRL certification (Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader) is a strong asset.
  • Experience working in a global, matrix organization preferred
  • Excellent communication and influence skills.
  • Passion for creating outstanding employee and guest experiences.
