Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) – Be a Change Maker at Enwave

Who We Are

At Enwave Energy Corporation, we don’t just keep the lights on—we’re redefining how energy is delivered. Our sustainable energy solutions are powering communities and shaping a greener future. With over 30 years of experience and bold ambitions, we’re scaling up fast. That means big ideas, big challenges, and big opportunities for growth.

We are not your traditional energy company. We’re innovative, collaborative, and constantly pushing boundaries. And we need you—a strategic, hands-on HR leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

TIDE : Our Cultural Foundation

TIDE is Enwave’s cultural expression of who we are when we are at our best. It enables us to execute our strategy, pivot with agility, and maximize our impact on those we serve. Each component is structured to (1) emphasize a required behaviour, (2) reinforce an expected outcome, and (3) call us all to a unified action.

  • Teamwork accelerates progress – Bring out the best in your colleagues
  • Inspire and be inspired – Believe we can be impactful
  • Determination creates possibilities – Take action with intention
  • Evolve continuously – With our communities and customers

What’s in It for You

  • Impact & Influence : Your expertise will shape our people strategy and directly impact employee experience.
  • A Seat at the Table : Work closely with business leaders and be a trusted advisor in all things HR.
  • Grow With Us : This is an opportunity to evolve, lead, and take your career to the next level.
  • Work That Matters : Our projects contribute to decarbonizing the planet. Be part of something bigger

Your Role : More Than Just HR

Are you an HR professional with a passion for recruitment, performance coaching, and building strong partnerships with senior leaders? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy shaping people strategies that make a real difference? If so, Enwave is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Corporate team at Head Office.

As our Corporate HRBP, you will be the go-to advisor for our non-unionized business groups (Finance, Legal, Strategy, etc.). You’ll lead company-wide recruitment efforts, manage onboarding experiences, support performance management, and contribute to policy development and key HR initiatives. This is a hands-on, people-centric role that offers the opportunity to influence, build, and grow within an innovative energy organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a mid-level role. Your primary focus will be leading full-cycle recruitment for corporate functions—collaborating with business leaders to define roles, shape hiring strategies, and ensure seamless onboarding experiences that drive early engagement and performance. You’ll own the corporate onboarding process and ensuring alignment with workforce plans, succession goals and team capability needs. Beyond talent acquisition, you’ll guide performance management across the corporate teams, support leaders on employee development, and support feedback-driven growth. You’ll help activate engagement strategies designed by the Manager, Employee Engagement & Experience, while contributing insights to improve uptake and cultural resonance. You’ll also steward policy development for the corporate group, ensuring practices are compliant, values-aligned, and practical. Finally, you’ll participate in strategic HR initiatives—from program rollouts to data-driven reporting—that support Enwave’s broader People & Culture goals.

What You Bring to the Table

  • HR Experience : 3-5 years in an HR generalist, HRBP, or similar role.
  • Education & Certification : Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field. CHRP / CHRL designation preferred.
  • Talent Acquisition Expertise : Experience managing full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for a range of professional roles.
  • Performance & Coaching : Proficiency in performance frameworks and coaching practices to support leadership effectiveness.
  • Policy Ownership : Experience developing and interpreting HR policies with legal and cultural alignment.
  • Training & Development : Ability to identify learning needs, support development planning, and facilitate access to training resources.
  • Project & Program Management : Ability to lead and execute cross-functional HR initiatives.
  • HR Business Partnering : Strategic and consultative approach to supporting senior leadership.
  • Results-Oriented : Strong follow-through, ability to prioritize, and focus on outcomes.
  • Analytical Thinking : Able to interpret data, spot trends, and make recommendations.
  • Collaboration & Communication : Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Tech Skills : Comfortable with Excel (reporting and tracking), PowerPoint (creating and presenting), and HR data analysis.
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint Skills : Pivot tables, data visualization, and presentation mastery.
  • Corporate HR Experience : Prior work in corporate, professional service, or head office settings.
  • Change Management Experience : Exposure to HR transformation or change initiatives.

Why Join Us?

  • Inclusive & Supportive Culture : We care about our people and invest in their growth.
  • Career Growth & Development : We believe in continuous learning and professional development.
  • Meaningful Work : Be part of a company that’s making a real impact on sustainability.

At Enwave, we embrace diversity and equal opportunity. We’re committed to accessible hiring practices and will accommodate applicants with accessibility requirements throughout the process.
