Job summary

Babcock Canada is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (Permanent) to support client groups across Canada. You will coach management in leadership development, performance and talent management, and help design programs from onboarding to annual reviews.

Ideal candidates hold a CHRP/CPHR, a HR-related degree, and at least four years in HRBP roles, with experience in federally regulated environments. Aviation industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum four years in an HR Business Partner role supporting a customer group.
  • Diploma/degree in Human Resources or related field and CHRP/CPHR designation.
  • Experience with federally regulated employees; aviation industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support client groups of professional employees located throughout Canada.
  • Coach and support management in leadership development, performance and talent management, change management, employee engagement, HR and communication.
  • Design, development and delivery of onboarding, orientation, performance management and annual reviews.
  • Collaborate on recruitment strategies and resolving recruitment roadblocks.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for all positions within the business unit.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR legislation and maintaining records.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement of the HR team and business unit.

Expected Salary: $67,021 to $87,965

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will:
  • Support client groups of professional employees located throughout Canada.
  • Coach and support management in areas of leadership development, performance and talent management, change management, employee engagement, human resources and communication.
  • Support the design, development and delivery of programs and processes such as orientation, onboarding, performance management, engagement, compensation, annual leadership and skills development review.
  • Collaborate with and support the business unit management in identifying recruitment strategies and resolving recruitment roadblocks.
  • Manage end to end recruitment lifecycle for all types of positions within the business unit.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legislative requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records.
  • Contribute to the continuous process improvement of the HR team and business unit by influencing human resources strategies, policies and methods.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate brings:
  • Must have a solid understanding and experience working with federally regulated employees.
  • Has a diploma/degree in the areas of Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Holds a current CHRP/CPHR professional designation.
  • A minimum of four years in an HR Business Partner role directly supporting a customer group.
  • Experience working in the Aviation industry preferred but not essential.
  • Has experience in the creation, development, and implementation of HR business solutions for a wide range of customers.
  • Has demonstrated the ability to communicate clearly and professionally via all means of communication and to a variety of customers.
  • Is driven by results and have a clear vision on what a strategic HR Business Partner role is expected to be.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
