Seeking a new Human Resources Business Partner who is fluently-bilingual in French and English . Qualified candidates must have at least 8 years of relevant and well-rounded work experience in corporate human resources. Multi-national company with over 800 employees and over 10 people on the HR team. Based in Montreal .
Who- the Company :
Our client is a very well-established and reputable global consulting firm that provides professional services on diverse and large-scale projects taking place around the world. They have a fun-loving and dynamic corporate culture.
What- the Role :
On behalf of our client, Swim Recruiting is looking for a French & English Bilingual Human Resources Business Partner to join our client’s growing HR & Recruitment team. Swim Recruiting is based in Vancouver and has previously placed employees for this company in other Canadian cities. This is a newly created headcount and the HRBP will be the sole HR professional in the recently opened Montreal office.
The HRBP will be using both English and French on a daily basis (spoken and written, professional and conversational) and will be communicating with Quebecois employees who speak very little English and anglophone employees originally from elsewhere in Canada and from all over the world who speak little to no French.
The HRBP will report into the Vice-President of HR and will collaborate very closely with HR colleagues in Canada and the US, including the HR Managers, HR Advisors, a Recruiter, an HR Coordinator, an HR Assistant, and various HR Specialists.
This role involves a blend of employee relations (especially for Quebec-based employees, but also supporting Atlantic Canada, Eastern Canada, and other regions as needed) , performance management, global mobility, HR projects, HR policy & program development, recruitment support (not actually conducting sourcing, but supporting hiring managers and the Recruiter with assessing candidates for the Montreal office for values and corporate culture alignment), etc. This new HRBP will be working in the Montreal office where there are currently 25 to 30 employees. SWIM will provide interested candidates with a detailed job description (French and English versions available).
Who- the Candidate :
We are seeking candidates who will take a genuine interest in this company’s complex and interesting professional services business and who enjoy supporting a technical and well-educated employee population. In terms of soft skills, we are looking for someone who is professional, friendly, autonomous yet collaborative, articulate, confident, and passionate about working with a tightknit and high-performance HR team while supporting a small employee population in Quebec.
How Much :
Competitive base salary, commensurate with relevant experience, education, and skills- likely in the range of $100,000 to $120,000, with a sweet spot of $110,000. This company provides employees with a generous total compensation package which includes a performance-based bonus, health benefits from Day 1, a parental leave top-up, professional development support, and other employee perks.
Where :
Downtown Montreal in a vibrant area close to shops, amenities, a metro station, etc. This company has a hybrid schedule and the HRBP will work a minimum of 3 days / week in the office, with flexibility on which days they work from home. There will be occasional work travel in this role to other Canadian cities.
