Nova Scotia Pension Services Corporation (NS Pension) is a growing non-profit corporation dedicated to a wide range of investment, pension administration, and compliance services for two of Nova Scotia's leading pension plans. In total, we manage almost $14 billion in plan assets, serve over 60 employers and more than 80,000 members, retirees, and survivors.
We administer the pension benefits and investment assets of the Public Service Superannuation Plan and the Teachers' Pension Plan and administer the pension benefits of the Members' Retiring Allowances and the three former Sydney Steel pension plans.

The opportunity
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources (Director, HR), the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for implementing human resources programs, policies and processes to enhance organizational effectiveness and to achieve performance outcomes through our workplace culture.
Working with employees and leaders across the organization, the HRBP performs a diverse level and range of functions in talent acquisition, talent management, labour relations, compensation, payroll, benefits, learning and development, health, safety and wellness.
What you need to be successful
As the successful candidate, you will have a Bachelor's degree in commerce or business specializing in human resources and a minimum of 4 years progressive experience as a Human Resources Business Generalist, Business Partner or similar roles. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience in a unionized environment and CPHR designation are considered assets.
