Job summary

Equinox Gold Corp. seeks a Human Resources Business Partner to support HR operations at the Greenstone Mine in Geraldton, Ontario. The role reports to the HR Manager and involves providing guidance, administrative support, and implementing HR initiatives.

Based in Geraldton with a 7 day in, 7 day out rotation, you will be the site HR contact, manage onboarding, employee relations, and policy deployment while collaborating with all departments to sustain a safe and productive work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience expected.
• Mining experience or knowledge is considered an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR advice and support to supervisors and employees.
• Develop and communicate HR policies and procedures; prepare letters and docs.
• Contribute to design and rollout of HR programs and initiatives.
• Serve as the site HR point of contact.
• Coordinate onboarding for new hires and ensure smooth integration.
• Attend career fairs and recruitment events.
• Provide guidance on employee relations issues to managers.
• Investigate and help resolve employee complaints with HR manager.
• Conduct exit interviews and communicate feedback to management.
• Collaborate with departments to communicate end of employment.
• Monitor employee relations trends and suggest proactive measures.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner will play a key role in supporting HR operations by providing guidance, administrative support, and contributing to the implementation of HR programs and initiatives.

This position is based in Geraldton, Ontario on a 7 day in, 7 day out rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of Human Resources advice, support, solutions, and recommendations to supervisors and employees in a professional, efficient, and practical manner.
• Assist in the development and communication of Human Resources policies and procedures, and produce documents, letters, and other correspondence.
• Contribute to the design of HR programs and initiatives and ensure they are successfully implemented and understood.
• Serve as the site Human Resources point of contact.
• Coordinate and oversee the entire onboarding process to integrate new hires seamlessly into the organization.
• Attend and participate in career fairs and other recruitmentevents.
• Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on employee relations issues.
• Investigate and help resolve employee complaints and grievances in coordination with the HR manager.
• Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
• Collaborate closely with all departments to communicate end of employment.
• Monitor and analyze employee relations trends and recommend proactive measures to address issues.
• Perform daily Human Resources duties such as updating employee records, completing relevant forms, filing and tracking documents, entering data, and scheduling meetings.

Required Experience and Skill Set

• 5+ years of relevant Human Resources experience.
• Experience in mining or related industry is an asset.

The salary range for this position is from$100,966.00 to $123,403.00.
