Established in 2020, Mini Mall Storage Properties has been successfully acquiring storage facilities throughout North America with rapid expansion in the United States. We have a team of talented and diverse self-storage experts who span across 15 states and 7 provinces to support and manage our rapid growth across North America. With over 50,000 units and almost 8 million square feet of self-storage space, our goal is to make storage simple and accessible throughout life’s transitions.

As the Human Resources Business Partner you will work collaboratively with the Operations team to support with all aspects of the employee life cycle.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Partner closely with business operations leaders to understand their objectives and align HR initiatives that drive results.

Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing best-in-class HR guidance on topics including workforce planning, organizational development, employee engagement, and productivity.

Collaborate with the HR leadership team to shape and execute our People strategy, acting as a key liaison between HR and business units.

Drive talent acquisition efforts in partnership with the recruiting team, ensuring timely and effective execution of hiring plans.

Lead and support full employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, HRIS updates, employee changes, and offboarding.

Coach managers on performance management processes including goal setting, feedback, development planning, and performance improvement plans.

Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and compliance.

Conduct internal investigations and make recommendations based on findings to mitigate risk and support a positive workplace culture.

Evaluate existing HR programs and policies, recommending improvements that support scalability and business growth.

Support the implementation of corporate-wide People & Culture initiatives, ensuring adoption and effectiveness across teams.

Drive data-informed decisions through regular tracking and reporting of key people metrics.

Learn and grow continuously—bringing curiosity and a solutions-oriented mindset to every interaction.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Human Resources Education (Diploma / Certificate / Degree) with 5-8 years' related and progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience within a broad range of HR functions, managing full-cycle recruitment, investigations, performance management, and leadership partnering.
  • Proven experience and patience to build relationships with business leaders to elevate the service level expectations and experience.
  • Natural communicator that thrives within a cross-functional team.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, a keen eye for attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Adaptability with comfort living in the grey and the ability to take other’s perspectives and objectives into consideration. Executing our day-to-day work can be a sprint but achieving our goals and executing our strategy is a journey.
  • Fluent and proficient working with technology applications and data, especially excel and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Must complete & pass a criminal record check.
  • To be willing and comfortable working full time in office.
