Duties

Provides generalist, multi-function human resources support services.

Intent of the process

This process may be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various tenures, security levels or linguistic requirements in the same or other parts of the country.

Essential qualifications

Education: Graduation from a post-secondary diploma in human resources, business administration or another field relevant to the position, OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Experience:

  • Recent experience providing administrative support in an office environment, including maintaining electronic and paper files, scheduling, preparing and revising routine reports, correspondence and responding to information requests.
  • Experience using information management systems and software programs such as Excel, Word, and electronic databases.
  • Experience in the provision of human resources support services.

Note: Recent experience is defined as acquired within approximately the past two (2) years.

Desirable qualifications

  • Additional Education: Degree in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or related field.
  • Additional Experience: Experience working with PeopleSoft.
Operational requirements
  • Willingness and ability to travel;
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime;
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule to meet operational requirements.
