Human Resources Analyst – Temporary 10 Month Contract Position, Calgary Support Centre

Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, this full-time 10-month temporary position ending December 31, 2025, is an instrumental part of the North American People Services team. Working closely with the HR team and Managers/Business Partners, this role supports the full HR lifecycle across the business. The HR Analyst must be a team player with the ability to deliver superior customer service to all levels within the organization. The individual must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities. An accurate eye and a keen sense for data organization is key.

This position is based at the De Beers Calgary Support Centre located at the Calgary International Airport.

The schedule is currently a hybrid style consisting of two days in the office and three days at home.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • As part of the HR Connect Team, acting as first point of contact for employees and managers, responding to HR queries, drafting employment-related letters, validating HR forms, problem solving where needed, and triaging as necessary, providing excellent and timely customer service;
  • Supporting HR administrative functions including coordinating new hire and onboarding activities;
  • Inputting, processing, verifying, and maintaining accurate employee data and documentation including liaising with employees, managers, and the HR team;
  • Performing validation and audit, ensuring data integrity across all HR information systems, this includes partnering on internal and external audits;
  • Facilitating benefit administration, including guiding employees through the enrollment process and answering queries;
  • Preparing reports for the HR team, business managers and 3rd party benefit providers;
  • Identifying process improvements and documenting relevant HR procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in human resources is preferred;
  • Two to three years of relevant HR related experience is required. Experience working in an HR shared services operating model is an asset.
  • Data entry experience into HR information systems is required. SuccessFactors and/or Dayforce experience is an asset;
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
  • Team player with ability to deliver quality customer service internally and externally;
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • A self-starter comfortable working in a dynamic work environment and ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Must exercise sound judgment, discretion, confidentiality and flexibility to adapt to changing demands;
  • Occasional travel to remote site required.
