Key Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor and Director, you will support the development of strategic HR programs and provide operational HR advisory services across a wide range of functions, including :

  • Recruitment and staffing
  • Learning and development
  • HR policy development and planning
  • Support in employment equity, pay equity, job evaluation / classification, and health & safety (training provided)

What You Bring :

Education & Experience :

  • University degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and recent experience in a unionized HR environment
  • Proven experience in recruitment, staffing, and learning & development

Knowledge & Skills :

  • Strong understanding of trade union and equity principles
  • Proficiency with HR systems and implementation
  • Sound judgment and ability to advise all levels of staff and leadership
  • Awareness of the social and political dynamics within unionized environments
  • Solid grasp of employment legislation, standards, and collective agreements

Attributes :

  • Fully bilingual in English and French (written, spoken, and comprehension)
