We are excited to announce 3 full-time permanent positions within our Human Resources department. These roles offer a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to providing business advisory services.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Manager, HR Client Services, as Human Resources Advisor, you will contribute to the success of the TTC's 'people' objectives by developing and implementing, short and long term human resources (HR) solutions, strategies, plans and programs to support client business objectives. You will act as first point of contact for HR matters within assigned business units or sections of the TTC and build relationships with the client management as a trusted advisor, driver and facilitator of change. To this end, you will provide business advisory services, generalist advice, consultative services and direct support to the client on a variety of HR management issues, policies and processes to promote an effective, one-contact approach to HR management practices.

  • You will provide guidance and support to a client (internal or external), sharing expertise and knowledge in a given area to help further the clients' objectives.
  • Plan and implement projects within the client portfolio by analyzing trends and presenting solutions to optimize performance and mitigate risks
  • You will provide guidance and advise on HR related matters to client (through attending meetings, providing resources, and direct support) in the areas of collective bargaining interpretation, grievances, investigations, discipline, and attendance management
  • As the Human Resources Advisor, establish a working relationship, typically in order to cooperate on matters of mutual concern.
  • You will promote a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and is free from harassment and discrimination. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of inclusive and accessible policies, programs and/or services for employees and customers in accordance with TTC’s commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC’s policies.
  • You will be required to participate in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?

  • Your educational background including completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent is integral and will contribute to success in this role.
  • Your application will demonstrate your ability to provide guidance and advise on HR related matters to client (through attending meetings, providing resources, and direct support).
  • Experience planning and coordinating projects within the client portfolio by analyzing trends and presenting solutions to optimize performance and mitigate risks is required.
  • You will be required to manage human resources with experience in a unionized environment
  • Provide specialized consultation and superior facilitation skills is required.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, liaising between external and internal stakeholders.
  • Plan and organize activities / projects to meet section and organizational goals.
  • Use office technology, software and applications is required.
