Job description

Under the direction of the HR Manager, the HR Administrative Assistant will act as a supportive role for various human resource department functions maintaining employee records, assisting in the ongoing administration of an HRIS system and providing support in various HR projects and initiatives.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Supports recruitment activities including drafting job postings, coordinating interviews, updating applicant tracking system
  2. Ensuring new employee documentation is complete
  3. Assist with and/or coordinate new hire onboarding process - reference checks, new hire orientations and organizing training/communication materials
  4. Assist with the ongoing administration of an HRIS including the digitization of employee records
  5. Manage employee records, provides general administrative support to the department
  6. Identifies opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery
  7. Preparation of complex reports on regular basis
  8. Ensuring department trackers are updated

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  1. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including attention to proper email etiquette.
  2. High attention to detail and confidentiality
  3. High level of initiative and ability to work under minimum supervision or direction.
  4. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are important.
