Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our fast-growing AI company in Vancouver. This is a unique opportunity to build the HR function from the ground up, designing and implementing people strategies, policies, and systems that support our rapid growth.

In addition to leading HR for our core business, you will also provide guidance and support to the HR teams of our affiliated companies, ensuring consistency and alignment across the group. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic environment, and capable of anticipating and responding to the company’s evolving needs as we scale.

Duties
  • Oversee all aspects of human resources management, including recruiting, onboarding, training & development, and employee relations.
  • Implement change management strategies to facilitate organizational growth and adaptation.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, including workforce planning, employer branding, job design, sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
  • Supervise HR staff and provide guidance on best practices in human resources operations.
  • Develop and manage HR programs that align with business objectives while ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  • Develop, benchmark, and administer competitive compensation and benefits structures to attract and retain talent.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to inform decision-making processes regarding workforce planning and development.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and leadership team, providing HR consulting support on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the financial, technology, or fintech industries.
  • Strong strategic HR planning ability, with proven experience in aligning HR initiatives to company strategy.
  • Demonstrated success in building and developing HR teams, including mentoring and capability-building.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder management skills; able to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
  • Strong change management skills, with the ability to lead HR projects in fast-paced and evolving environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Canadian employment legislation, HR compliance, and labor relations practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll administration, and data-driven HR analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English (Mandarin is a plus for global collaboration).
