Having completed pivotal clinical studies, we are now focusing on regulatory approvals and market launch. This milestone marks a significant step in delivering this innovative technology to patients.

We are looking for a Human Factors Analyst to lead assessment, design, and usability improvements. You will be an essential part of our multidisciplinary engineering team, engaging in human factors testing, user research, and analysis across clinical, software, mechanical, and risk management domains. Your expertise will inform product design and support regulatory submissions.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement based in Burnaby, BC.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Planning and executing usability tests to meet FDA and IEC standards.
  2. Drafting Human Factors documentation such as Test Protocols and Engineering Reports.
  3. Conducting usability testing for hardware and software to inform design.
  4. Applying human factors analysis techniques to interpret user needs, use errors, and assess risks.
  5. Performing user research with healthcare professionals.
  6. Providing usability insights to guide design decisions.
What you bring to the team

Ideal attributes include:

  • BSc/BA or MSc in Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Industrial Design, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Human Factors or usability activities.
  • Experience with regulatory validation testing (FDA or IEC) is highly desirable.
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of human factors analysis methods and standards such as IEC 62366 and FDA guidance.
Compensation

The total annual cash compensation ranges from $85,500 to $125,000 CAD, including base salary and a 5% RRSP contribution. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
