Job Description :

Our utilities contractor client is currently looking for an HSE Manager to join their team in Abbotsford, BC or Calgary, AB.

This person will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the corporate HSE management system. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position ensures compliance with all relevant legislation and standards while fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. The Manager, HSE will oversee regional HSE Advisors and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, clients, and community partners.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • CRSP, CHSC, NCSO, or an equivalent designation is an asset.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in an HSE leadership role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., OH&S Act, WHMIS, COR).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication, investigation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to field locations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 / yr.
