Job summary

Job Description

As the HSE Lead, you will play a key role in fostering aculture of safety and operational excellence across the organization. You willensure RJ MacLean remains compliant with all applicable occupational health andsafety regulations and legislative requirements while meeting and exceedingclient expectations. This position is responsible for developing, implementing,and maintaining a comprehensive Health and Safety Management System thatprotects employees, subcontractors, the public, the environment, and company assets.The successful candidate will lead risk management initiatives, includinghazard assessments, audits, inspections, and the implementation of effectivecontrols to prevent incidents and support continuous improvement in workplacesafety performance

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Lead and maintain compliance with applicable OHS regulationsand industry standards.
• Act as the primary contact for compliance platforms such asISN, Avetta, and ComplyWorks.
• Serve as the company's primary COR Auditor and lead annualCOR audit activities.
• Conduct incident investigations and ensure correctiveactions are implemented and tracked.
• Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures, emergencyresponse plans, and safety documentation.

Operational Support

• Provide HSE leadership on projects through inspections,toolbox talks, safety meetings, and client audits.
• Develop site-specific safety plans, Job Hazard Assessments(JHAs), and safety improvement initiatives.
• Ensure company-wide training requirements are communicated,tracked, and maintained.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Act as a trusted resource for managers, supervisors, andemployees on HSE matters.
• Lead weekly HSE team meetings and coordinate quarterlyHealth and Safety Committee meetings.
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and safetyexcellence.

Client & Stakeholder Relations

• Represent RJ MacLean professionally with clients,regulators, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Support client-specific HSE requirements and participate inclient meetings and audits.

What Skills and Training Do You Need?

• 10+ yearsof health and safety experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
• 4+ years of leadership, management, orsupervisory experience.
• Strongknowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and industry bestpractices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Practical, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
