Our Ideal Candidate

Allnorth is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HSE Coordinator to support site safety and environmental compliance during the construction phase of a major greenfield project. The successful candidate will work closely with site leadership and contractors to ensure that all work is executed in alignment with Allnorth’s high standards for health, safety, and environmental performance.

You are someone who leads by example, engages proactively with crews, and takes pride in helping maintain a culture of safety. With a solid understanding of HSE regulations, risk mitigation strategies, and reporting requirements, you’ll be a key player in supporting field operations and contributing to safe, successful project delivery.

Key Details:
  • Shift: 14 days on / 14 days off; 10 hour shifts per day
  • LOA & Travel allowance: Provided
  • Project Type: Construction of a greenfield canola crushing and processing plant
  • Location: Regina, Saskatchewan
A Day in the Life
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and ensure work is being performed safely and in compliance with project-specific safety plans and applicable regulations.
  • Facilitate daily toolbox meetings and support supervisors in promoting a strong safety culture among all site personnel.
  • Manage site safety documentation, including incident reports, near-miss logs, safety meeting records, and inspection checklists.
  • Monitor and assist with the implementation of safety permits, hazard assessments, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Participate in investigations of incidents and near misses, ensuring proper reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support onboarding and orientation of new workers, including reviewing HSE protocols and ensuring required training and certifications are up to date.
  • Coordinate with contractors, site leadership, and client representatives to ensure consistency and accountability in safety practices.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Experience in an HSE role on industrial or construction job sites; experience with greenfield projects is an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable OH&S legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Certification in Health & Safety (e.g., NCSO, CRSP, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Proven ability to complete and manage safety documentation accurately and on time.
  • Comfortable using digital tools and platforms for reporting, inspections, and communication (e.g., MS Office, safety management software).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, boots-on-the-ground approach to safety leadership.
  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement, accountability, and empowering others to work safely.
