Job summary

• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field is an asset.
• 1–3 years of construction safety experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and construction safety regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships on site.
• Confident, approachable, and comfortable working with field teams and subcontractors.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing within a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Identify unsafe conditions, safety concerns, near misses, and incidents, and assist with corrective actions.
• Work collaboratively with site teams and subcontractors to ensure company safety expectations and procedures are followed.

• Participate in site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Build positive working relationships with field staff, supervisors, and trade partners.
• Support ongoing safety initiatives and help promote safe work practices on site.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Travel between multiple job sites throughout the day as required.
