Job summary

Ledcor is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist in Merritt, BC to lead inspections, support field supervision, and ensure safe work practices across heavy civil and mining projects. You will develop Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Procedures, lead toolbox talks, and ensure regulatory compliance on site.

Ideal candidates hold CRSP or CSO/NCSO designations, with strong communication skills and a track record in risk assessment, program development, and incident investigation.

Qualifications

5+ years of related work experience in heavy civil, mining, or related industry.
Must hold a CRSP, Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, CSO or NCSO designation
Technical knowledge of common construction practices, techniques, and equipment within the Pipeline Construction and/or Pipeline Maintenance Industries
Ability to effectively communicate and present information to the hourly workforce
Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, program development, safety & health training, and accident investigation
Strong computer competency including experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license and driver’s abstract
