We are now looking for a professional to take on the role of HREX Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking Technology Configuration Manager within the HREX Organization. Your responsibilities include managing the technology aspects of Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking, orchestrating suppliers for application development and maintenance in the Workday space, and ensuring all payroll configuration changes are properly assessed, reviewed, and tested before implementation.

This role reports to the HREX Workday Payroll and Time Attendance Technology Service Owner. Grade 12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Approve, sign off, and build solutions in the ABB Production environment involving Workday Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, and Benefits for the US and Canada, ensuring quality.
  • Evaluate proposed changes or impacts to Workday PATTb and ensure proper testing before deployment.
  • Configure absence rules, accruals, and reporting in HRIS systems like Workday.
  • Manage time tracking systems to ensure accurate employee work hours.
  • Define technical solutions and ensure alignment with other modules and IS applications through collaboration.
  • Support validation of Year-End processes for the US and Canada, including forms like W2 and T4.
  • Review and approve functional and technical use case specifications.
  • Support issue resolution during project delivery to prevent delays.
  • Provide consultation and support for Workday releases and new features.
  • Map business process demands to existing or new IS services, supporting new projects.
  • Collaborate on incident management, problem management, and service requests, and monitor problem resolution quality.
  • Assist in understanding and documenting information flow through business processes and IT systems.
  • Manage day-to-day IS domain service operations, escalations, and relationships.
  • Ensure service restoration within SLA, conduct impact analysis, and prioritize incident management tasks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer engineering, information systems, computer science, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IS, especially in application/system lifecycle, IS Service Management, and Project Management.
  • Workday Payroll experience in design and configuration for US and Canada.
  • Experience with Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules, including impact analysis of changes.
  • Experience with Workday Benefits module for plan and eligibility design.
  • Knowledge of Vendor Management.
  • Experience working with global teams.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Workday payroll certification is preferred.
