What You’ll Do

The HRIS Specialist – Dayforce serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Ceridian Dayforce Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This role is responsible for system configuration, data integrity, reporting, user support, and process optimization. The analyst bridges the gap between Employee Experience operations and technology, ensuring the Dayforce platform is leveraged to its full potential to support business goals and enhance employee experience. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Experience Operations, the core parts of your role will be:

System Administration & Configuration
  • Act as the primary administrator for Ceridian Dayforce, managing system configuration, implementation, updates, and maintenance.
  • Customize and optimize modules including Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, Recruiting, Compensation, Onboarding, Analytics, AI and Performance.
  • Set up and maintain user access levels, roles, and security permissions.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with Ceridian support as needed.
Data Management & Integrity
  • Ensure data accuracy through regular audits, data cleansing, and validation processes.
  • Manage employee data imports / exports and lifecycle transactions (hires, terminations, job changes).
  • Maintain compliance with legislation and data privacy regulations within the system.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop and maintain custom dashboards and reports to support Employee Experience decision-making and compliance.
  • Analyze data trends to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Automate recurring reports and distribute insights to stakeholders.
User Support & Training
  • Provide support for Dayforce users across OGC related to HRIS and escalate as needed.
  • Create and maintain user guides and documentation.
Process Optimization & Integration
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to identify and implement system enhancements.
  • Streamline workflows and automate repetitive tasks within Dayforce.
  • Lead process integration and support cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience administering and managing Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Proficiency in XML coding and experience working in environments where XML is used for configuration, data exchange, or content management is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes including onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance management, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Dayforce reporting suite).
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
