Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • CPHR designation (or working toward one) is an asset.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in an HR Business Partner role and 2+ years leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
  • Experience with talent management, workforce planning, succession planning, compensation, and employee engagement.

  • Serve as the primary HR leader on site, partnering with operational leaders to provide strategic HR guidance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the HRBP team to deliver high-quality HR service.
  • Coordinate annual HR cycles including compensation planning and performance management.

Salary Range: $140,000.00 To $155,000.00 Annually

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a HR Superintendent to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 4-3 (Monday to Thursday) rotation.

Reporting to the HR & Payroll Manager, the HR Superintendent leads the delivery of HR services at the McIlvenna Bay Operation, providing strategic and operational leadership to the HR Business Partner team and is accountable for delivering consistent, effective, and compliant Human Resources programs and services that support operational success.

Working in close partnership with operational leadership and regional HR, this role leads the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives at the site level while providing expert guidance on employee and labour relations, workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, organizational change, and employee engagement. The role is responsible for fostering a safe, respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and organizational values.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary HR leader on site, partnering with operational leaders to provide strategic and operational HR guidance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Human Resources Business Partner team, ensuring consistent, high-quality HR service delivery.
  • Establish team priorities, balance workloads, and foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing HR team.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex employee and labour relations matters, providing guidance on performance management, attendance, workplace conduct, conflict resolution, and progressive discipline.
  • Coordinate and manage the execution of annual HR cycles, including compensation planning, performance management, talent management and employee engagement initiatives for site-based employees.
  • Conduct or oversee workplace investigations and support the resolution of complex workplace issues while minimizing organizational risk.
  • Coach leaders on employee relations, leadership effectiveness, organizational change, performance management, and workplace culture, while developing and delivering site-specific HR training programs to strengthen frontline leadership capabilities.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on recruitment activities, supporting hiring strategies, onboarding and critical recruitment as required.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, procedures, and internal controls while maintaining accurate HR documentation.
  • Monitor HR metrics and workforce trends, providing recommendations to improve operational effectiveness and mitigate organizational risk.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance HR processes and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Health & Safety, Indigenous Relations, Community Relations, and other stakeholders to support site and corporate objectives.
  • Support the company's commitments to safety, Indigenous participation, diversity, inclusion, and workforce development.
  • Escalate significant legal, financial, reputational, or organizational risks to the Human Resources Manager as appropriate.
Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in an HR Business Partner role and 2+ years leading teams, preferably in mining, industrial, construction, or other operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, employee relations, workplace investigations, performance and attendance management, and progressive discipline.
  • Proven ability to partner with leaders, influence decision‑making, and lead organizational change.
  • Experience with talent management, workforce planning, succession planning, compensation, and employee engagement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with HRIS, Microsoft Office, and HR reporting tools, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $155,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
