Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workday Configuration Consultant to join our Global HR Employee Experience Team. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to drive HR system enhancements, improve employee experiences, and innovate HR solutions within Workday and other HR technologies. You will be responsible for supporting the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of system enhancements, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and global strategies. The ideal candidate will be a domain expert in Workday, highly strategic, and able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a solution domain expert, supporting the discovery, design, configuration, documentation, testing, and post-implementation of HR system enhancements.
  • Provide technical support for creating and maintaining custom reports and dashboards in Workday, JIRA, and other HR tools to support clients and the Advanced Analytics team.
  • Lead configuration, testing, and implementation of system upgrades while ensuring compliance with established processes and procedures.
  • Create and maintain detailed configuration documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Balance multiple concurrent projects and collaborate with multi-functional partners, managing expectations and minimizing the impact on end users.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to deliver on cyclical activities such as Performance Cycles, Annual Compensation Cycles, and Goal Setting, driving improvements and resolving issues.
  • Assist with impact assessments, regression testing, and communication plans as needed.
  • Stay ahead of the latest advancements and opportunities within Workday, continuously applying new knowledge to improve processes.

Candidate Requirements (Must-Have Skills) :

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
  • Functional experience across HR domains including Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Time and Absence.
  • Experience working within large global organizations and managing implementations under tight timelines.
  • Strong ability to prioritize work effectively, ensuring successful delivery within set deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, adhering to data privacy standards.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

  • Experience with ADP Global View (PECI, PICOF, EXPR).
  • Familiarity with JIRA Case Management or similar applications.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Advanced experience in recruiting, time off, and time tracking configuration within Workday.

Soft Skills :

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to assess needs and manage expectations through clear, open communication.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to make logical, data-driven decisions.
  • Initiative-driven, with a desire to continuously develop new skills and knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of data management and analysis, with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions.
  • Experience presenting and explaining complex functionality to various stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability to address root causes and propose future-proof solutions.
  • Ability to mentor and share knowledge with team members, particularly on Workday configuration.
  • Strong commitment to ethics and data privacy, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies.

Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
