Our construction client is currently seeking a permanent HR Specialist to join their team! The ideal candidate will have experience supporting with the delivery of HR services and best practices involving employment and labor relations.
This is an on-site position located in Vancouver, BC.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR best practices and procedures. This includes disciplinary actions, terminations, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution.
Work closely with union representatives and management to ensure that processes are in alignment with jurisdictional agreements.
Support on grievance and arbitration processes and collective bargaining processes.
Complete workplace investigations regarding any employee issues.
Work closely with the legal team to address work permits, work permit extensions, visas, and permanent residents for expats or candidates coming from abroad.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across the federal, provincial, and local jurisdictions.
QUALIFICATIONS :
1-3 years of experience within a similar position (Employee and Labour Relations focus).
