A leading staffing company is seeking an HR Manager to oversee all HR functions at the plant level. This role involves strategic planning, employee relations, compliance, and talent development, ensuring alignment with corporate standards while addressing local needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR within a manufacturing setting, particularly in unionized environments.
The HR Manager will lead all Human Resources functions at the plant level, ensuring alignment with corporate standards while tailoring solutions to meet local needs. This role balances strategic planning with hands-on execution and partners directly with the Plant Manager and site leadership to drive teammate engagement, labor relations, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as a strategic advisor and coach to leadership on HR matters
Oversee employee relations, performance management, and policy compliance
Lead labor relations, including contract administration and grievance resolution
Manage health, safety, and environmental compliance in coordination with HS&E teams
Drive recruitment, onboarding, and talent development initiatives
Implement HR metrics tracking and continuous improvement plans
Ensure effective communication, training, and engagement across the site
Qualifications :
5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive ideal)
Union experience (contract negotiation, grievance handling)
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational development skills
Familiarity with HRIS / payroll systems is a plus
