Ecolab is seeking an HR Representative toprovide strategic human resource generalist consultation to employees and managers at our Mississauga and Burlington, Ontario production and logistics facilities.This position will serve as a critical member of both plant leadership teams and will partner closely with HR and Talent Acquisition associates as well as North American HR Centre’s of Excellence.

What You Will Do :

  • Assist management in planning, development, implementation and evaluation activities of Talent Assessment and Talent Development
  • Responsible for managing several key areas within the HR function, such as talent development, inclusion, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, training and development, safety, disability and worker’s compensation
  • Drive key Human Resources initiatives and strategic processes within Supply Chain
  • Foster employee engagement through proactive employee relations and performance management
  • Partner with leadership to set the strategy to acquire, develop and retain talent and lead succession planning for key roles
  • Lead initiatives on talent development for Managers and first level supervisors to include facilitation of training
  • Coach supervisors for effective leadership and change management as well as standard progressive counseling and managing employee development issues
  • Partner with other members of the leadership team to support training and development for associates
  • Oversee the management of the talent selection process and develop process improvements. Manage temporary agency relationships to ensure high quality applicants
  • Ensure consistent, fair and legally compliant employment practices; conduct workplace investigations
  • Partner with Safety Leaders to manage workers compensation cases
  • Manage the short-term disability program partnering with the Canadian Benefits team and the occupational health provider
  • Represent the company in the community for the purpose of networking, identifying human resources best practices and improving Ecolab’s standing within the community
  • This position will have shared on-site work locations in Mississauga and Burlington
  • Flexibility in schedule may be required to support various production shifts, as needed
  • Some travel to the US for training / meetings may be required

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human resources, Industrial Relations, Business or equivalent
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Leader (CHRL) designation
  • 4 years human resources experience of moderately difficult HR work
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, supply chain industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and work effectively with various stakeholders in a complex, matrix work environment
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
  • Strong organization, time and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Understanding of strategic issues impacting the business with strong talent development and team building skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, develop strategies and implement solutions
  • Experience building and executing an hourly wage and compensation strategy is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Workday enterprise system is an asset
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations
