Job description
Role and Responsibilities
Provide human resources guidance and partnership to Vancouver R&D leaders
Support the Vancouver site and provide remote support to Toronto and Montreal AI sites as needed
Serve as an initial point of contact for employee-related inquiries, escalating critical matters as needed
Contribute to and positively impact the ongoing culture and employee engagement
Support Canadian immigration policies, PR documentation, and Work Permit applications
Assist in learning and development initiatives for the Vancouver site
Collaborate with the People Team Director on program initiatives
Support projects, processes, and programs within the People Team
Manage special projects and support internal and external events as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years supporting technical teams as an HR Business Partner or Generalist
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management; CPHR designation is an asset
Experience in Learning & Development is an asset
Strong communication, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to support employee relations, retention, and reward programs
Ability to handle confidential information and work under pressure
Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to support the team
