Randstad Staffing is currently looking for an experienced HR Generalist to work with a company in Dartmouth.

We are looking for one of two candidates:

  1. an experienced HR professional that doesn't mind working in a contract role
  2. a new HR grad that wants their first "career" role

Responsibilities

  • Act as a leader in recruitment and come up with proactive and innovative strategies to attract talented candidates.
  • Participate in the continuous optimization of an effective recruitment strategy to access top-level talent, while delivering timely and effective customer service and support to internal hiring managers.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding process.
  • Coach, advise, and mentor leaders on HR matters.
  • Provide timely and accurate HR processing for assigned partners including, but not limited to, employee engagement, performance management, benefits management, merit increases, and incentives.
  • Participate in global HR projects and execute and support HR initiatives at site level.
  • Maintain confidential, accurate, and up-to-date employee files.
  • In collaboration with the local Health & Safety Team, manage the work accident claims process and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives (i.e. holiday parties, social events, employee engagement surveys, etc.).
  • Support the VP Organizational Development.

Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you have demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities, bringing enthusiasm and energy to everything you do. You are confident, resourceful, and adaptable and you thrive in fast-paced environments that require you to manage multiple priorities at the same time.

  • You have a post-secondary education with an emphasis on Human Resource Management.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working as an HR professional with demonstrated experience in a broad range of HR functions or you are a new HR professional looking for their first "career experience".
  • Driven to exceed client expectations, you are capable of developing positive and professional working relationships and take pride in your work.
  • You have the ability to work independently, are organized, and have the skill set to manage multiple priorities.
