MissionTerus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking an HR Generalist to join our team in Surrey, BC for an 18-month contract term.
Reporting to HRBP, the HR Generalist is instrumental in fostering a work environment that upholds the company’s values and promotes employee engagement. This role plays a critical role in upholding HR presence in strategic planning and day-to-day operations. The HR Generalist will support various business leaders and employees, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of HR support. As an active contributor within the HR team, the HR Generalist will, contribute to the overall success of the organization by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
Position SummaryThe HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the HR team and operations in implementing broad range of HR functions. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to Recruitment, Employee Relations and Workplace Investigations.
Main Responsibilities• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5years of experience in an HR role, with a preference for experience in the construction industry or related industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of HR practices, labour legislation, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in JDE or similar ERP software and/or SuccessFactors with a strong aptitude for learning new systems considered a strong asset
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
The anticipated range for this position is $77,000 - $86,000 annually. The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
