What You'll Be Doing

  • Partner with managers to support employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and other duties as assigned, working with and close to the hourly CBA union employees
  • Facilitate onboarding, training, workplace investigations, and employee development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies and procedures
  • Support HR programs including benefits, compensation, and engagement activities
  • Analyze HR metrics to drive strategic decision-making and continuous improvement

What Are We Looking For

  • Proven ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of provincial labour and employment statutes. Previous or current union experience required. A must have for this role
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
  • Proficiency in HR systems and databases; Workday and Kronos strongly preferred. Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • CPHR designation is an asset
  • Must have valid Driver's License and reliable transportation

Work Environment

This role operates in a dynamic, collaborative environment with both office and field-based interactions. Flexibility to travel to various sites may be required to support business needs. Must be comfortable climbing stairs, wearing safety boots and other PPE, and tolerable of elevated noise levels.
