HR Coordinator, People & Culture
Full-time, Permanent
Hybrid, Based out of Toronto

The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) is a leading international authority on responsible gambling—providing insights to industry stakeholders through its research and problem gambling prevention programs, as well as accrediting responsible gambling initiatives offered by gaming companies operating within regulated markets across the globe. RGC operates independently from the gaming industry, allowing it to offer unbiased insights and services related to responsible gambling.

RGC is committed to bringing together all sides (operators, regulators, treatment, community agencies and the public) to ensure sustainable gambling spaces are in place and to help those at risk because we believe gambling should never come at a human cost.

In collaboration with the People & Culture team, the HR Coordinator aids in the recruitment process, planning events, employee engagement and supporting administrative tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting preliminary phone screens as part of the recruitment process
  • Coordinator job postings and interview times in partnership with the HR Specialist and hiring manager
  • Communicating with applicants in a manner aligned with our core values
  • Conducting reference checks as part of the recruitment process
  • Drafting surveys in Survey Monkey
  • Administration for several employee programs
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to support new HR-related initiatives and projects
  • Participating in the social committee, Joint Health & Safety Committee, Employee Resource Groups, and other staff groups as required
  • Aiding in logistical planning for both in-person and virtual events that support RGC’s culture and employee engagement
  • Supporting the execution of RGC’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility and Anti-Racism (EDIAA) strategy
  • Supporting the employee orientation and onboarding process
  • Sourcing speakers for Staff Town Halls
  • Tracking policy acknowledgements, policy revisions and timelines
  • Maintain HR forms and lists as required
  • Other HR-related tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in the Human Resources field
  • Experience with the recruitment process
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information with discretion
  • A proactive mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Familiarity using ADP and The Applicant Manager (TAM) an asset
  • Familiarity with a Learning Management Systems an asset
  • Working knowledge of ESA
  • Great time management skills, ability multi-task
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills (English) and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in another other language is an asset
  • Valid G Drivers license preferred
