HR Coordinator, People & Culture
Full-time, Permanent
Hybrid, Based out of Toronto

The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) is a leading international authority on responsible gambling—providing insights to industry stakeholders through its research and problem gambling prevention programs, as well as accrediting responsible gambling initiatives offered by gaming companies operating within regulated markets across the globe. RGC operates independently from the gaming industry, allowing it to offer unbiased insights and services related to responsible gambling.

RGC is committed to bringing together all sides (operators, regulators, treatment, community agencies and the public) to ensure sustainable gambling spaces are in place and to help those at risk because we believe gambling should never come at a human cost.

In collaboration with the People & Culture team, the HR Coordinator aids in the recruitment process, planning events, employee engagement and supporting administrative tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Conduct preliminary phone screens as part of the recruitment process.
  2. Coordinate job postings and interview schedules in partnership with the HR Specialist and hiring manager.
  3. Communicate with applicants in a manner aligned with our core values.
  4. Conduct reference checks as part of the recruitment process.
  5. Draft surveys in Survey Monkey.
  6. Administer several employee programs.
  7. Work cross-functionally with other departments to support new HR-related initiatives and projects.
  8. Participate in the social committee, Joint Health & Safety Committee, Employee Resource Groups, and other staff groups as required.
  9. Aid in logistical planning for both in-person and virtual events that support RGC’s culture and employee engagement.
  10. Support the execution of RGC’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility and Anti-Racism (EDIAA) strategy.
  11. Support employee orientation and onboarding processes.
  12. Source speakers for Staff Town Halls.
  13. Track policy acknowledgements, policy revisions, and timelines.
  14. Maintain HR forms and lists as required.
  15. Perform other HR-related tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in the Human Resources field.
  3. Experience with the recruitment process.
  4. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  5. A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.
  6. Experience using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  7. Familiarity with ADP and The Applicant Manager (TAM) is an asset.
  8. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems is an asset.
  9. Working knowledge of ESA.
  10. Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task.
  11. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in another language is an asset.
  13. Valid G Driver's license preferred.
