Whether you’re ensuring our operations remain compliant or facilitating our onboarding process, you’ll be the administrative engine that keeps our legal and HR operations humming for 10 dealerships and 400+ colleagues. Your Mission

Elevate the employee experience and guard our compliance by delivering flawless day-to-day administration across Legal and HR.

Success Outcomes

  • By Day 30 : You own our compliance and onboarding tracking process, inncluding monitoring and overseeing OMVIC registrations and Health & Safety.
  • By Day 60 : You own the entire end-to-end hiring process. You post job ads, assist in the interview process, onboard every new hire.
  • By Day 90 : AODA, WHMIS and Violence & Harassment training completion rates are at 100%. You're helping develop and implement training sessions beyond compliance (i.e. guest experience, management & leadership training).

Your Day-to-Day Work

HR Administration

  • Run the recruiting cycle : post, screen, schedule, reference-check.
  • Draft and issue offer letters, employment confirmations, promotion and status-change letters.
  • Own onboarding & orientation, welcoming new hires, ensuring IT access, and tracking probation reviews.
  • Maintain health-and-safety program : JHSC minutes, workplace inspections, incident reports, WSIB Form 7 filing.
  • Compliance Administration

  • Monitor and process OMVIC dealership renewals, salesperson registrations and terminations.
  • Coordinate compliance audits and supply requested documentation.
  • Assist General Counsel with various legal clerical tasks (updating tracking spreadsheets, corporate filings, etc.).
  • Must-Have Qualifications

  • Most important qualification : You can get things done. You ensure everything you touch is concluded, leaving no open loops.
  • You're a self-starter. You can learn on the go.
  • Meticulous attention to detail; able to juggle deadlines across multiple entities.
  • You can work a computer. You’re comfortable with the Google suite of applications and familiar with generative AI.
  • Post-secondary diploma / certificate in Legal Administration, HR or related field preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of Ontario ESA, OHSA, privacy and consumer-protection basics are preferred, but not mandatory.
