Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs that align with company objectives and support ongoing growth.
- Coordinate recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding activities.
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers on HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with the administration of compensation, benefits, and performance management processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring data integrity in HRIS and payroll systems.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications.
- Coordinate training and development activities, tracking employee progress and program participation.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta employment standards, health and safety regulations, and company guidelines.
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at building scalable HR infrastructure.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department and assist with reporting, audits, and other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in a fast-paced or growth-oriented environment.
- Working knowledge of Alberta employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS or payroll systems.
- CPHR designation or working toward certification is considered an asset.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and eagerness to learn and grow in the HR field.
