Why this role is important?
As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will serve as an Internal Consultant/Advisor to regional resources and Associate-Owners for all Human Resources Management disciplines. This field HR position will require frequent travel (3-4 days/week) throughout the region, and a valid driver’s license is required.
What you'll do:
Leadership & Coaching - Coach Associates, management team members, and business unit teams on all facets of HR to support Associates in delivering a consistent and positive employee experience in their stores.
Employee Engagement Survey – Support Associates during the TIAII survey period, helping to prep stores in advance of survey launch and guide Associates in interpreting and following up on store staff surveys.
Employee Relations – Investigate employee complaints and coach Associates through the investigation process to ensure timely and effective resolutions. Monitor high-risk stores and manage risk with Associate and business unit teams.
HR Standards - Ensure National HR Standards and best practices are in place for all stores.
Compensation – Consult and recommend wage and annual merit adjustments to Associates for their store staff, in accordance with Market wage guidance.
Store Acquisitions - Provide human resource leadership and Business Unit support in acquisition activity, new store openings, relocations, and store closures.
HR Orientation - Conduct regular HR Onboarding/HR 101 sessions for new Associates and their management team members.
Presentations/Updates – Provide weekly HR updates to Operations business unit teams and attend quarterly Operations Business Unit meetings to present HR content as requested.
Talent Development – Promote and bring awareness to the LEAD program in stores to build the talent pipeline for key leadership roles.
What you bring:
Education - Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management/Industrial Relations or a related discipline.
Experience - A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive human resource business partnering experience with detailed knowledge of Employee Relations & HR Business Partnering.
Project Management - Ability to plan and implement programs and projects.
Computer Skills - Strong proficiency using Office 365, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Self-Management - Ability to work autonomously using strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
Relationship Building - Ability to establish strong relationships and build trust across multiple areas/departments.
Presentation Skills – Comfortable leading meetings and delivering presentations/training to larger groups.
