At Humani, we are a team of modern-thinking HR professionals. The HR Business Partner will be the go-to person for multiple clients across various jurisdictions and industries. The ideal candidate can help clients with complex people and culture issues by finding and implementing customized solutions. You should have a broad knowledge of HR employment law and employee relations, especially in states like California and New York. Skills in client and project management, attention to detail, and excellent communication are essential, along with the ability to guide organizations through change.

Position Details
We are seeking an Ontario-based HR Business Partner to join our team. Our hybrid work model involves remote work with onsite visits to client locations as needed. Travel may be required occasionally.
What You Will Do
- Act as the primary HR business partner for multiple clients across different jurisdictions.
- Analyze current HR programs and design tailored HR roadmaps.
- Ensure compliance with jurisdiction-specific standards.
- Align HR initiatives with labour law requirements.
- Develop and review HR policies and procedures.
- Handle complex compensation projects with data analysis.
- Review HR software and processes; lead HRIS implementations.
- Update or develop performance management processes.
- Design compensation plans based on market data.
- Manage employee relations issues.
- Provide coaching and mentorship.
- Create and deliver HR training sessions.
- Participate in meetings with clients' executives and staff.
- Maintain relationships with clients’ C-Suite executives.
Your Skill Set
- Employment Law & Legislation: Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law across multiple provinces; union/labour relations experience is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze information and recommend solutions.
- Time Management: Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent listening, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational Skills: Be organized and efficient.
- Data Analysis: Attention to detail in analyzing data and reports.
- Relationship Management: Experience managing client portfolios and stakeholders.
- Technology Skills: Adapt quickly to new technology; proficiency in spreadsheets and presentations (Google or Microsoft products).
- HR Software: Experience with various HR software programs.
- Project Management: Knowledge of project management principles; change management experience is advantageous.
Who You Are
- Minimum 5+ years of client-facing HRBP experience.
- At least 2+ years managing HR team deliverables.
- Degree or diploma in HR or related field; professional HR designation is a plus.
- Passionate about HR, with experience building HR systems and staying updated on HR trends.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Creative thinker with the ability to handle diverse situations.
- Self-motivated and disciplined, capable of working independently.
