HR Advisor, Secondary Academic Staffing
Under the general direction of the Team Manager, the Human Resources (HR) Advisor acts as the primary contact for senior staff, principals/vice principals, union reps/federations, and employees on all recruitment and staffing matters within the Secondary Academic Staff portfolio.
The HR Advisor assists with the interpretation and administration of HR programs and functions that include: coordinating all aspects of the employee life cycle from recruitment/selection and leave administration to resignations and retirements; providing system support to committees implementing the Board’s strategic plan, interpreting and administering collective agreements, Board policies and procedures and Government acts and regulations on all human resource matters; responsible for initiating and drafting data (i.e. new hires, staff movement, leaves, etc.) for input into the HR/Payroll system. The HR Advisor supports and leads special projects as assigned.
