A major food company in Canada seeks an energetic HR professional to support their people strategy within a unionized manufacturing environment in Hamilton, Ontario. This role involves guiding managers on HR policies, acting as a liaison with union officials, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a post-secondary education in HR and relevant experience in a unionized setting.
The incumbent is responsible for supporting the delivery of our people strategy within an assigned client group and acts as an employee champion and change agent. This individual will be energetic, results driven and have a strong desire to deliver exceptional client focus partnership in our state-of-the art World class facility. This role assesses and anticipates our people needs and fully integrates themselves into the plant environment by communicating needs proactively with their cross functional teams. As a true business partner, the incumbent will be responsible for all plant specific HR requirements of hourly employees, regarding staffing, labour relations, and all areas of employee relations and programs.
