As the Talent and Development (T&D) Team Member On-Site Advisor, your main priority is to ensure a Healthy and Engaged Manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for providing execution and ongoing support of all Human Resources policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring consistency in our people practices. You will actively work with your manufacturing leadership teams and our recruitment agency partners to maintain optimal staffing levels and provide support to Team Members. The T&D Team Member Advisor works closely with the Talent and Development Business Partner at their location to provide comprehensive human resources support to their team. Previous experience in a human resources environment within a manufacturing plant or warehouse is mandatory.

Shift Timing - 2.30 pm - 11.00 pm

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with Manufacturing Leaders and Team Members by having an active presence on the plant floor to drive T&D programs, processes, and policies to enhance working relationships, build engagement, and increase retention.
  2. Execute and institutionalize all Talent and Development engagement and improvement initiatives.
  3. Advise Manufacturing Leaders on Team Member relations issues, including performance management, attendance, respectful workplace, and code of conduct.
  4. Support Progressive Discipline process up to Team Leader level, including investigations, documentation, recommendations, and coaching/issuing discipline with Manufacturing Leaders.
  5. Draft employment letters based on templates as needed.
  6. Act as the first point of contact for all hourly Team Members on relations questions, concerns, and issues.
  7. Investigate/respond to Team Members promptly, ensuring documentation, follow-up, and case closure.
  8. Maintain knowledge of legal requirements to reduce legal risks and ensure compliance.
  9. Proficient in HR systems (TMC, Navex, ICIMS, TMTM, etc).
  10. Work with Manufacturing Leaders to determine staffing needs.
  11. Coordinate with recruitment agency partners for onboarding and staffing.
  12. Create agency action plans for staffing challenges and improvements.
  13. Support audits and onboarding processes.
  14. Ensure accurate recordkeeping in HRIS and attendance systems, troubleshooting issues.
  15. Participate in health and safety initiatives as an advocate.
  16. Support T&D/Manufacturing projects as assigned.
Required Experience
  1. 1-3 years in Human Resources within a large Manufacturing or Warehouse environment.
  2. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, develop positive relationships, and deliver results.
  3. Strong understanding of Ontario employment legislation (e.g., Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act).
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to diffuse difficult situations.
  5. Ability to influence decision-making and implement HR policies.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  7. Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  9. Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.
