Job description

Are you ready to step into a role where you can truly make your mark?

Our client - a fast-growing, forward-thinking business based in South Manchester - is hiring their first-ever dedicated HR Advisor. This is your opportunity to build HR foundations from the ground up, bring structure to a dynamic environment, and play a key role in shaping the future of the company's people strategy.

The Role

As the company's go-to HR expert, you'll take ownership of all day-to-day HR operations and contribute to long-term strategic initiatives. Your work will be varied, hands-on, and impactful. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and revamping HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook
  • Supporting end-to-end recruitment and onboarding - from writing job specs to offer letters and background checks
  • Managing employee life cycle processes - probation, leaves, records, and offboarding
  • Guiding on employee relations issues such as disciplinaries and performance management
  • Coordinating internal training and development programmes
  • Administering benefits, perks, and bonus schemes
  • Advising managers with clear, confident HR guidance

What You'll Bring

  • Generalist HR experience, ideally in a high-growth or SME environment
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Confidence, clarity, and empathy in communication - you know how to build trust across the business
  • A can-do, sleeves-rolled-up mindset with a love for variety and autonomy
  • Comfort in informal and fast-changing environments - where not everything is figured out yet

Location & Package

  • Location: Office-based in South Manchester (with flexibility for some remote working)
  • Extras: A blank canvas to build and grow your HR career, alongside a friendly and ambitious team

If you're looking for a fresh challenge where you can shape, create, and lead - this is it. This could be a great development opportunity for someone as the business continues to grow.
