Job Purpose and Impact

The HR Administrator will be responsible for providing human resources services including attendance management, position management, internal job postings, new hire administration, analyzing HR metrics, and other transactions to ensure the successful operation of the organization's human resources administrative services. Working under general supervision for routine administrative tasks, this job assists employees and managers by addressing questions and contributes to the completion of human resources services administration activities.

Key Accountabilities
  1. HR Services Administration: Supports the administration of the local attendance management program by performing routine data entry into systems and maintaining accurate records and reports. Also supports the administration of the internal job postings process and tracking of job ownership to maintain pay equity program.
  2. Employee Support: Assists employees and managers with guidance by providing timely and accurate responses to employee questions and inquiries about employee benefits programs and HR policies.
  3. HR Research: Gathers data to assist in preparing reports measuring the effectiveness and quality of HR services, including metrics related to attendance, job postings, and employee inquiries, and identifies opportunities for improvement.
  4. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Assists with projects related to process optimization and standardization, including implementing accountability measures and analyzing customer-reported issues to determine root causes and propose solutions.
  5. Process Implementation: Assists with the implementation of new hire, termination, and other employee lifecycle processes, and reports on issues that may impact implementation.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • College Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and working towards HR designation.
