Description and Requirements

Come join the Lenovo North America HPC & AI Sales team. Lenovo is looking for a highly skilled seller specialized in High Performance Computing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a long term sales pipeline and search out new business opportunities.
  2. Initiate and manage the engagement of prospective clients.
  3. Establish and maintain professional, working and consultative relationships with clients, including C-level executives for mid-to-large accounts by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.
  4. Identify, qualify, develop and close HPC industry sales against quota.
  5. Develop a sales plan & strategy. Identify emerging industry markets.
  6. Ensure the timely and successful post-sales delivery of HPC solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  7. Clearly communicate the progress of monthly & quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Travel to customer sites to present HPC solutions and services in a professional manner and maintain account integrity.
  9. Present HPC solutions in a professional manner to customers in-person, via email, and by phone.
  10. Set direction and communication for both project team and business partners and actively participate in cross-functional groups to solve problems.
  11. Ability to travel up to 50% depending on location.

Basic Requirements:

  1. Bachelor of Science or higher in a technical field or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business or Information Technology is required.
  2. Minimum 10+ years of experience selling high tech, big-ticket products or solutions with at least 5 years sales experience specifically in the HPC industry.

Desired skills:

  1. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  2. Passionate self-starter and self-learner with initiative and motivation.
  3. Expertise using consultative solution selling and business development skills to align the client's business needs with the solution.
  4. Experience with successful partner engagement.
  5. Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
  6. Good understanding of infrastructure, operations and cloud computing.
  7. Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal teams, customers, vendors and delivery partners.
  8. Ability to work from a home office with up to 50% travel.
  9. Knowledge of HPC architecture including GPU/CPU computing, HPC clusters and software is preferred.
  10. Strong familiarity with the HPC industry, especially Energy and HPC customers, is preferred.

Salary: The base salary range budgeted for this position is $150,000–$195,000. On top of that, individuals are eligible for 20% commission and may also be considered for additional bonuses.
