Job summary

National Defence- Canadian Forces Housing Agency (CFHA) is seeking a Housing Projects and Maintenance Technician (Borden) to support CAF housing services. The role is based at CFHA Borden, EG-04 level, with a salary range of $71,741 to $90,184 per year.

You will identify repairs, coordinate maintenance with service providers, and ensure quality and safety compliance. You will conduct inspections, provide technical guidance, assist in capital projects, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
• Experience in renovating residential housing or inspections.
• Knowledge of cost estimating and applicable codes.
• Ability to travel and work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and document repairs and maintenance for housing units.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate repairs with service providers and prepare work orders.
• Supervise, inspect, and validate compliance of completed work.
• Conduct preventive and reactive inspections of buildings and systems.
• Deliver professional customer service to occupants and respond to service requests.
• Provide technical guidance to service providers and occupants, and support on-site problem solving.
• Assist in plans, technical documents, and capital projects with external providers.
• Contribute to life cycle evaluations and ongoing maintenance process improvements.
