Job summary

Home 2 Suites by Hilton Barrie is seeking a dedicated Houseperson to support the housekeeping team by transporting linens, restocking supplies, and maintaining clean public areas to brand standards. You will work closely with Room Attendants, handle guest-requested items promptly, and help ensure a safe, guest-ready environment across the hotel while adhering to safety and cleanliness guidelines.

Flexibility is required, including weekends and holidays, to meet hotel operations and guest needs

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and support team operations.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and move supplies and equipment.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Basic communication skills with a guest-service mindset.
• Reliable, professional, and safety-focused.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public areas (lobby, hallways, restrooms, stairwells) to brand standards.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash removal, sanitizing).
• Transport clean linen to floors and collect soiled linen for laundry processing.
• Restock housekeeping closets, carts, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Deliver guest-requested items (rollaway, cribs, towels, amenities) promptly.
• Assist Room Attendants with heavy tasks (linen removal, furniture movement, setup needs).
• Monitor cleanliness and safety of assigned areas; report maintenance concerns.
• Support additional housekeeping or setup tasks as needed to meet operational needs.
