Strategic Procurement Category Specialist (6 months contract)

In this role, you’ll procure commodities like raw materials, bulk products, and subcontract manufacturing, collaborating with various departments to maintain tactical responsiveness. Responsibilities:
  • Leveraging strong negotiation skills to optimize costs and effectively managing vendors to ensure supply continuity.
  • Collaborating with vendors and teams to meet production schedules and resolve supply issues.
  • Problem-solving under pressure and building strong supplier partnerships.
  • Communicating effectively across functions with excellent English skills.
  • Prioritizing tasks and taking ownership to achieve business goals.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or business/operations management.
  • 3+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SYSPRO) and strong MRP knowledge.
  • Familiarity with material management, BOM, WIP, and lean principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; CPIM or CSCP certifications are a plus.
  • A self-driven, team-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
