Job description

Where : Schefferville

What : Full-time positions

Remote site : Fly In Fly Out

Rotation : 14 days IN / 14 days OUT

Shift : 70 hours per week

Daily wage : $18/hour plus overtime. After 40 hours, $27.00/hour

Qualifications : Position Summary :

• Accountable to the Manager for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of guest rooms, dorms, and laundry facilities.
• Promotes the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, and fulfillment for all clients, treating everyone with respect and encouraging participation in all tasks.
• Maintains premises in a clean and orderly manner.
• Cleans guest rooms, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and dorms.
• Cleans light fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, window coverings, floors, and carpets.
• Performs dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sweeping.
• Replenishes supplies.
• Moves furniture in accordance with health & safety training.
• Changes sheets and replenishes linens.
• Sorts laundry items by label and loads laundry machines with bedding and linens.
• Adds detergent and cleaning agents to the washer in accordance with SIMDUT standards.
• Places wet articles in dryer for the measured time cycle.
• Ensures all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained safely.
• Reports any repair needs to maintenance.
• Informs the manager of ordering needs for the department.
• Wears appropriate PPE as per Sodexo regulations.
• Maintains friendly contact with clients, respecting their right to choice, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
• Participates in staff meetings and training activities.
