Position Available: Housekeeping Supervisor

About us:
The Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is one of Canada’s top private all-season golf clubs, with a diverse membership of 1,400 members and an outstanding Tier One golf course famous for its excellence. The Club has played host to numerous premier events, including six Canadian Opens.

Founded in 1906, MG&CC is a year-round private club that offers golf, curling and tennis, dining, fitness and social amenities. Our Tudor Clubhouse is a spectacular venue for casual and fine dining, banquets, weddings and various social events and functions.

Position Summary:
Mississaugua Golf and Country Club is currently in search of a Housekeeping Supervisor to join the maintenance team. The Housekeeping Supervisor will play a pivotal role in overseeing the cleanliness and upkeep of all areas within the Clubhouse, including dining spaces, offices, restrooms, locker rooms, and external facilities. The responsibilities will involve task delegation, ensuring that the highest cleanliness standards are maintained, coordinating with the housekeeping team members, and supervising their work to achieve these standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform tasks in a professional, responsive, and friendly manner.
  • Delegate and coordinate the team’s daily tasks, and or areas of the facility to ensure thorough cleanliness.
  • Regularly inspect areas and facilities to ensure standards are met.
  • Supervise and train the housekeeping staff to ensure exceptional and consistency of service.
  • Maintain sufficient inventory of supplies for the team.
  • Inspect and ensure all floor surfaces are impeccable, by vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping.
  • Perform regular dusting, cleaning of windows and surfaces, emptying garbage and stocking washroom items & amenities as needed.
  • Coordinate and assist with setting up rooms for events and functions.
  • Establish a bi-weekly schedule for the housekeeping team within given budget.
  • Advise and update the Director of Food and Beverage of team scheduling, absences, and changes.
  • Perform basic building maintenance and repairs, including changing light bulbs, painting etc.
  • Work in a safe and productive manner.
  • Support the Director of Food and Beverage as needed.

Requirements:
  • Previous cleaning experience in a high-end, professional environment.
  • 2-3 years experience in Cleaning, Housekeeping and/or Commercial Cleaning preferred.
  • Experience of managing, communicating and motivating workforce teams.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Knowledge of computer skills an asset.
  • Experience performing basic building maintenance and repairs is an asset.
  • Pleasant, respectful, and professional when communicating with others.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems.
  • Service oriented – courteous and friendly.
  • Commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
  • Strong work ethic – hard working, reliable, positive attitude.
  • Work in an efficient manner while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, early morning and afternoon hours on weekdays and weekends.
