Position: Housekeeping Coordinator

Overview:

Big White Ski Resort is located 56 km southeast of Kelowna in the Southern Interior of British Columbia. It offers a unique opportunity for those who want to live, work, and explore in some of the most amazing natural attractions and activities Canada has to offer, including hiking, biking, skiing, and more!

As part of the Big White Housekeeping team, you are responsible for the daily coordination of rooms to be cleaned by the housekeeping team. You will be inspecting rooms and common areas to ensure they meet the core standard of cleaning, and assist the housekeeping manager with the training of staff. This position requires strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Inspect and maintain guest units while keeping up with core standards
  • Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff
  • Conduct daily morning meetings with housekeeping staff
  • Assist with training of housekeeping and laundry staff
  • Stock and organize storage rooms
  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in daily operations
  • Prepare work assignments
  • Communicate performance expectations to employees
  • Coordinate with maintenance on guest room needs
  • Handle employee disciplinary procedures as required
  • Understand operations in guest rooms (fireplace, windows, etc.)
  • Fulfill tasks in a time-sensitive manner
  • Follow all Health & Safety protocols
  • Assist guests with questions and requests
  • Other duties as required

Details:
