Position: Housekeeping Attendant (Part-Time)

Facility: Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

Job Purpose: The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Aquarium to the highest standards.

Note: Due to the nature of our business, work hours include weekends, evenings, and holidays, as the attraction operates 365 days a year.

Critical Accountabilities

1. Ensure guest areas are clean and well-maintained, including exterior acrylics of exhibits.
2. Empty trash and sanitary receptacles; pick up trash inside and outside.
3. Vacuum, sweep, scrub, and mop floors with appropriate equipment.
4. Strip and wax hard floors; shampoo and extract carpets as scheduled.
5. Clean and sanitize washrooms; restock supplies.
6. Maintain external property, including snow and ice removal, lawn care, and sidewalk cleaning.
7. Follow safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines, including PPE use.
8. Dust signs, walls, lights, etc.
9. Clean interior and exterior windows and mirrors.
10. Report unresolved issues to supervisors.
11. Operate related cleaning equipment as required.

Special Skills & Requirements

• Previous groundskeeping or housekeeping experience is preferred.
