About the Housekeeping/Laundry Aide Position:
Under the direction of the Director of Nutrition, Housekeeping & Laundry Services, the housekeeping/laundry aide is responsible for maintaining a standard of clean for resident spaces and their belongings.
Wage:
$19.51 to $23.03 hourly
Qualifications:
• Must have the ability to follow oral and written instruction and be able to communicate and provide feedback on a day-to-day basis
• Must be familiar with standard mending techniques, have knowledge/experience in laundry procedures and meet physical requirements of the job
• Should have knowledge of proper linen and stain removal
• Experience in laundry field and/or relevant course preferred
• Experience in cleaning field and/or relevant courses preferred.
• Experience working with seniors preferred. Genuine interest in and concern for residents.
• Good physical and mental health. Demonstrated maturity and tactfulness.
• Ability to be flexible and work both independently & as a team.
• Desire to participate in opportunities for further learning.
